Boxcar Books was an anarchist bookstore. They sold used books and were particularly well known for their zine collection, which has been generously donated to the Monroe County Public Library. You can look through it here.Along with book selling, Boxcar also regularly had events and hosted gatherings of activists to meet. The store shared space with Midwest Pages to Prisoners, a charity that works to send books free of charge to incarcerated people. It was a non-profit store and staffed by volunteers.
